Activity Description

A great paddle-boarding adventure experience begins with complimentary pick up and return transfer from your central Rotorua accommodation or the Rotorua I Site at 1167 Fenton Street, Rotorua. Departing Rotorua a 15-20 minute drive ensues that takes you past Lake Tikitapu and Lake Rotokakahi before arriving on the beautiful shores of Lake Tarawera. Upon arrival at the lake, views are dominated by the imposing volcanic mountain called Mount Tarawera. Expert instruction by the guide will have you mastering paddle-boarding quickly as you make your way along the shoreline to a fresh water spring nestled behind a volcanic rock. For those game enough a special rope swing hangs waiting for the adventurer to prove their skill. After partaking or not the tour resumes with wonderful views of the mountain and plenty of time to spot trout on the return to the beach. Suitable for all ages above 5 years old with a guardian and above 16 years old with no guardian. A great activity for everyone. If you have special needs and would like us to cater a tour to meet your requirements, just get in touch with us and we will tailor a little something especially for you. A weight limit of 105kg applies.
